Can Working From Home Decrease Workplace Bullying?

Many businesses  are open to their employees working at home. Will this affect employees' productivity and team collaboration?

According to research it appears that working from home increases employee productivity (Down, 2018). In fact the rise in technology use over the years, means that employees can complete their assignments on technological devices at home Team meetings can be arranged via Skype or similar mechanisms, and international connections can be made similarly. We understand that by 2025 millennials will make up 75% of the workforce. Because millennials are concerned with a balance in work and family life--many companies are reconsidering their policies about working from home.

Here are some reasons that show working from home increases work productivity:

Reduced commuting time
Fewer sick days provides a more flexible work schedule
Less stress at home than working in a cubicle in the office or in an open office where one's colleagues can gossip, bully or engage in uncivil behavior. Stress has a negative impact on employee productivity because stress will interfere with ones ability to concentrate on a task.
Increased job satisfaction
Fewer distractions-colleagues won't drop by your desk to chat-no worries about office lighting nor office noise.

In this way workplace bullying will decrease, and employee retention rates will increase, when one's job allows for flexible working patterns.
